Facebook introduced Chatheads (not Chat Heads) as one of the landmark features of its new humanoid“apperating system” Facebook Home. Chatheads is a new messaging platform, letting you communicate or share information with friends no matter what app you’re in at the time. It plays nice with both Facebook messages and text messages in the Android version.
Unlike the Android version, Chatheads for iOS is only accessible from within the Facebook app. It is not platform-wide, as it is in Facebook Home.
The Facebook app update will include a few other new features such as stickers you laughingstockshare with friends, and a revamped iPad layout that echoes the social network’s recent newsfeed redesign.
