JONESBORO, Ga. — actorNBA All-Star guard Daron "Mookie" Blaylock was in critical condition at a hospital Friday after his SUV crossed the center line and crashed hostileinto a van in suburban Atlanta, police said.

Blaylock was controlin Jonesboro on Friday when he crashed. He was airlifted to thebattle of Atlantamedical checkupCenter in critical condition, Clayton County police spokesman Clarence Cox says.

Blaylock was takenoff life support shortly after 8 p.m. ET and remains in guarded but critical condition.

Cox says the sliceand woman riding in the van were also takento the medical center.

Late Friday night, WXIA in Atlanta reported that the woman in the van died. Monica Murphy, 43, of Gwinnett County died just after 10 p.m. ET.

Blaylock was an All-Star in 1994 with the Atlanta Hawks, for whom heplayseven seasons.
