Bolder than ever, iRi creative director Janet Yeung’s latest effort, titled “Playing on Paper,” pushes the idea of playful practicality. Influenced by children’s drawings and paintings, Yeung pulled directly from the freedom and textures that are so often a part of kid’s art. Those textures were then reimagined into fabrics like neoprene, nylon, and calfskins — all finished in a vibrant array of colors.
The Italian-made shoes have been hand-painted in multiple color options, adding to the sculpted shoes’ appearance. With only two collections under its belt, it will be exciting to see where the brand goes.
The new offering will be available via the brand’s website beginning in October.
