Presidential Election Speech :: essays papers
Presidential Election Speech Hello my as m all of you know my name is John Moriarty. I am campaign as the Democratic Candidate for President of the United States of America. So that you visualize my positions on certain issues I will tell you a littler about myself. I was born on August 16, 1948, my father was a former U.S. senator. I grew up in the Bronx, of youthful York, and I veritable a degree in Government from Harvard University. After I calibrated I volunteered for enlistment in the U.S. Army and I served in Vietnam. When I returned to civilian life I married a woman named Nicole Swift, who is my married woman to this day. We then started a family, in 1973 I had my commencement ceremony son named John, and in 1980 I had another son named James. I then studied law at Vanderbillt Law School. In 1976 I was elected to represent New York in the U.S. House of Representatives, I was also elected to U.S. Senate in 1984 and over again in 1990. I will now state my position on 4 separate issues that are current in the United Sates today. The first issue I will talk about is abortion. I am professional person-choice, I do feel that women should have the right to choose if they command an abortion or not. Abortion is one of the most controversial issues in the United States today. One out of every three pregnancies never takes send off because a woman has an abortion. It is understood that a new individual humanity begins growing in the mothers uterus at fertilization. The status abortion refers to any premature expulsion of a human fetus. near 93 percent of all induced abortions are done for elective, non-medical reasons. In 1973, the Supreme Court handed down Roe v. Wade and muscularity v. Bolton decisions legalizing abortion in all 50 states during all nine months of pregnancy, for any reason, medical, social, or otherwise. This problem has split America in to two sides pro - choice and pro - life. In January 22, 1973 U. S Supreme Court say t hat a women had the Fundamental Fight to have an abortion. I agree with the legal opinion the Supreme Court made I will stand by it.The next issue I am going to elaborate on is gun control. I am very supportive of controlling the come up of guns that are distributed, I feel that there is too many crimes with misbranded guns that happen everyday.
